Agent heading to London imminently, wants Arsenal to rip up 27-year-old’s contract – report

Arsenal player wants to leave Emirates with his agent heading to London to potential tear up his contract and enable a free move.

Arsenal have reintegrated William Saliba into their first team but not all returning loanees will have a future at the Emirates Stadium.

Others like Pablo Mari will move on and it looks like fellow Spaniard Hector Bellerin will also be leaving Arsenal very soon.

Bellerin spent last season on loan Real Betis back in his native Spain but seemingly has no future under Mikel Arteta.

HECTOR BELLERIN WANTS TO LEAVE ARSENAL

ABC de Sevilla report that Bellerin’s agent is heading to London this week for talks with Arsenal.

The plan is for Bellerin to become a free agent with Arsenal terminating his contract.

Bellerin would then be able to rejoin Betis on a permanent basis having impressed there on loan last season.

Bellerin, 27, joined Arsenal from Barcelona way back in 2011, copying Cesc Fabregas in leaving the Barca ranks in favour of the Gunners.

The right back ended up becoming a first-team regular at Arsenal, racking up 239 appearances in all competitions.

Injuries did take their toll on Bellerin and with Arteta having no plans for him last season, a loan to Betis was sanctioned.

Bellerin played regularly for Betis last season and helped them win the Copa del Rey.

Reports in July suggested that Bellerin wants to make a ‘dream’ move back to Betis, the club his father grew up supporting.

Bellerin wasn’t named on the bench for Arsenal against Crystal Palace on Friday and it’s clear that his days are numbered.

The Spaniard is out of contract next summer and it may now be best for all parties to just come to an agreement now and move on, ending Bellerin’s 11-year association with Arsenal.
