Real Madrid are already lacking in depth in several positions across the pitch. Thus, it will be important for them to make sure that they do not lose any more key players in the summer. Thus, if Asensio does leave, Real Madrid might have a tough time finding a suitable replacement to fill his role. On the other hand, there does not seem to be any lack of interest in the Spaniard’s signature.

It is not hard to see why there is plenty of interest in Asensio’s signature. The Spaniard has an ability to impact a game off the bench, something that is rare to find in football.
Yes, it is true that Asensio has never fulfilled his potential and become a superstar at Real Madrid. But even then, he is an important part of this team and the best case scenario would be him signing a new deal and staying on at Santiago Bernabeu.
Asensio is still just 27 years of age and entering his prime as a footballer. If he does want to leave in search of more playing time, it is hard to see him being a starter at Arsenal. The story might be different at AC Milan though, especially if Brahim Diaz ends up returning to Real Madrid this summer.
