Antony start, Eriksen back in the starting line up’ 4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Luton Town, Ten Hag forced into huge change
Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend, looking to continue the winning streak.
Erik ten Hag‘s 2024 has been off to a flyer in the past month and a half, representing real improvement upon what we saw at the back end of 2023.
This has seen Manchester United rise through the ranks of the league table, sitting now firmly back in the race for the top four.
Up next is Sunday’s trip to Kenilworth Road, a first in the Premier League era in which United will face one of the season’s surprise packages in Luton Town.
With just one game a week these days, United are likely to field a strong line-up. Here’s our prediction.
Manchester United predicted line-up to face Luton Town in the Premier League
One position which is somewhat undebatable under Ten Hag is the goalkeeping position with Andre Onana very unlikely to see his place taken especially as he’s been impressive in the Premier League.
Diogo Dalot has been a sensation recently and after being praised by a recent opponent, he’s definitely in line to start here at right-back.
On the left is where Ten Hag’s big issue arises, with Luke Shaw potentially out injured, but given it’s against relegation candidates, he should be rested anyway with Victor Lindelof starting.
In central defence, Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire will both start to continue their partnership after Lisandro Martinez’s latest injury blow.
In midfield, the unbeaten pairing of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo should start. This is despite the Brazilian being tipped for a departure this summer. Although Scott McTominay will be disappointed.
Slightly ahead of these two, will be Bruno Fernandes who will be desperate to continue this run as United look to salvage some success this season.
Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford will continue at right and left wing respectively as this pairing has been a catalyst for the impressive form we’ve seen lately.
Up front meanwhile will be Rasmus Hojlund who has been phenomenal lately in a United shirt which has prompted him to be praised heavily.
