Arsenal are still expected to get rid of Aaron Ramsdale this summer as they look at adding to their squad in the next couple of weeks.
The 26-year-old who has made England’s Euro 2024 squad has been linked to a transfer this summer after falling behind David Raya in the pecking order at the Emirates.
The likes of Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham are just three clubs that have been linked with a move for the England goalkeeper and now reporter Charlie Watts has claimed that the Gunners are still expecting to see the big stopper depart the club.
Watts was quoted on the Sun: “It’s a matter of when Ramsdale leaves, not if. The key thing for Arsenal is getting value for money.
“I saw an initial fee of £15million mentioned in reports last week and that is quite frankly ridiculous. Arsenal signed Ramsdale for nearly £30million two years ago and he has developed into a far better keeper since then.”
CALAFIORI CANT WAIT TO JOIN –
Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that Riccardo Calafiori is obsessed with joining Arsenal this summer window.
Despite having the best defensive record in the Premier League last season – Mikel Arteta is keen to keep on adding to his squad over the next few months and buying players that he believes will improve the ARSENAL squad.
It has been claimed that Calafiori has agreed terms with the Gunners and the report says that negotiations over the transfer fee and the structure of the payments have progressed over the last few days with Arsenal paying a fee of around £42 million for the defender.
Now Romano has opened up and claimed that Calafiori is excited to make the move to Arsenal and is keen to play under Mikel Arteta – Romano Tweeted: ‘Arsenal have the match point to sign Riccardo Calafiori, an agreement with the player, and I can guarantee that the player is obsessed with the opportunity to go to Arsenal and he really loves the idea, loves the project and loves the possibility to play under a top coach like Mikel Arteta’
Former Fiorentina player-turned-coach Massimo Orlando recently called Riccardo Calafiori about choosing Arsenal over Juventus “strange”.
He said: ‘Arsenal certainly do the business, for the game they have fits Calafiori perfectly. In modern football €4m (£3.4m) per year, costing over €55m (£46.5m) (in transfer fees), is not much. It was a salary that even an Italian could afford. Strange to take this figure, at this point it is better to go to Juve, who could afford it like this.

Osman Kamara has revealed that he is delighted to have agreed his first big contract with Arsenal.

Left winger Osman had his best goalscoring season in 2023/24, netting nine times in 14 U18 Premier League appearances and getting two assists, and has admitted that he is delighted with the new ARSENAL deal.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, he said: “I feel really delighted to have my family watch me sign my first professional contract. It’s been a lot of hard work throughout the years, but I’m happy that they can see that it’s paid off.
“It gives you that sense that, if you do work hard, things will be given to you. I’m going to keep doing the same in the future.
“It was an easy decision. The coaches and staff around here are very welcoming and bring out the best in me, so I’ll keep improving as a player and a person.
“Next season, I’m going to try to build on my goalscoring. I know it’s going to be harder for the under-21s, but I have to level up and keep improving.
“I’ve been going through this journey with my teammates for a long time now, from a young age, maybe under-10s, so it’s nice to see all of us reaping the benefits of our hard work and being together.”
