Arsenal in transfer SAGA with PSG and BARCELONA – player has now agreed to join Arsenal after VERBAL AGREEMENT with the Club

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Fenerbahce midfielder Arda Guler in the summer, as per the Turkish outlet Fanatik.

After coming through the Turkish club’s youth system, the 18-year-old made his senior debut last season before securing his place in Jorge Jesus’ side’s first-team squad this term, scoring three goals and registering a solitary assist in 16 appearances in all competitions.

Having showcased his talent in the Turkish Super Lig, the youngster has already attracted the attention of several big European clubs with Arsenal being among them.

According to the report by Fanatik (via Turkish Football), the north London club are showing an interest in signing Guler ahead of the summer window and the Gunners have been made aware that they will have to spend at least £13m to purchase the youngster.

However, the report claims that signing the 18-year-old won’t be easy for the north London club as Barcelona, PSG, Manchester City and Olympique de Marseille are also eyeing a move for him.

Guler to Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s side are always in search of new young talents all around the world and it appears Guler has impressed the Gunners’ recruitment team in recent time.

The Spanish boss likes to deploy a technically sound midfielder who is calm under pressure and can dictate the game from the middle and Guler could be an ideal option to play in Arteta’s system.

The left-footed midfielder is quick, can play threading passes between the lines, has the efficiency to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, can deliver excellent crosses from the set-piece and also has an eye for scoring goals from distance. He has a pretty similar playing style to Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Fabio Vieira.

Guler could be an excellent signing for Arsenal if they manage to get this deal done in the summer. But, he might not be the signing to make an immediate impact at the Emirates Stadium as he needs time to blossom in the Premier League.

Arteta has already showcased his ability to develop young talents during his time as the Gunners’ boss and Guler would be able to get the benefits of that should the Fenerbahce man opts to move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will formalise their interest in signing the Turkish international at the end of this season.
