Arsenal missed out chance to re-sign German forward from Bayern Munich
Germany international forward Serge Gnabry has decided to remain at Bayern Munich and sign new long-term deal amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
The winger has arrived at Bayern Munich back in 2017 and has helped them claim the four Bundesliga trophies and the Champions League.
The 27-year-old’s current deal is set to expire next summer, however, according to The Athletic, he is set to secure a new deal in the coming days.
Former Arsenal forward was the subject of interest from the top teams in Europe, however, he will remain at the Allianz Arena.
The Germany international graduated from the Gunners academy and made only 10 appearances in the Premier League.
He moved on to Werder Bremen back in 2016 and spent one year there before his arrival to bayern Munich.
Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be keen on adding the Germany international forward after they missed out signing of Raphinha who has made a switch to Barcelona.
Thus far Chelsea have strengthened their offensive end by signing Raheem Sterling from Manchester City earlier last week and Arsenal as well added the Citizens attacker Gabriel Jesus during the current summer transfer window.
