Arsenal reaches agreement to renew a long-term contract with £90,000 a-week-winger.

Arsenal are in advanced talks to extend Gabriel Martinelli’s deal.

Brazil international’s current contract expires in 2024.

But the London giants reportedly carry an option to extend it until 2026, which gives them some room in talks.

Martinelli and Saka could be considered two of the most improved footballers during the Spanish manager’s era at Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel has stamped his authority in the first team with scintillating performances, particularly this campaign.

The road has been tough for the 21-year-old winger since Mikel Arteta’s arrival.

The Brazilian forward only became a regular midway through last campaign but has not looked back since then.

Some of his sharp displays have also earned him a place in the Brazilian national squad during recent call-ups.

Most recently, the South American winger put in a star showing as Arsenal beat Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Brazilian already has four goals and two assists this term.

And Mikel Arteta has already reiterated the club’s intention to extend his deal, wherein they are progressing towards steadily.

Recent reports have pointed towards interest from rival teams, but Arsenal are seemingly relaxed about his situation.

That does not mean they will be waiting for long before handing Gabriel a new deal.

They are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Martinelli’s camp to find a solution.

The Gunners are seemingly confident of getting talks over the line and finding a solution to extend the forward’s deal.
