Arsenal set to renew their interest in £70m Star who rejected them last summer – Arteta want to go for Him in January again
Arsenal’s hunt for a new striker in January has led to them looking at a player that many Gunners fans may remember.
Indeed, speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has claimed that the north London club are once again looking at a move for Dusan Vlahovic two years on from being rejected by the Serbian.
Vlahovic, famously, turned down a move to Arsenal back in January 2022, instead opting for a move to Juventus, but now, after the Gunners’ recent return to the top table of European football, Vlahovic is, once again, a target for Mikel Arteta.
Bailey says that Arsenal are looking at Vlahovic again, but, unfortunately, the player himself may be leaning towards staying at Juventus and signing a new contract.

Bailey shared what he knows about the £63m striker.
“Yeah, he turned down Arsenal basically to go to Juventus. Things didn’t go too well for him when he arrived in Turin, but they’ve really turned things around,” Bailey said.“
Juventus thought Vlahovic would go in the summer and if not, he’d definitely go after that and Chiesa was also showing no signs of signing a new contract, but they are now, they’re both keen on signing.”
Arsenal are looking, United have always liked him as well, and they’re keeping an eye out, but as it stands he looks pretty happy, he and Chiesa, Giuntuli is working really hard to get him signed up.”
Unlikely
As much as we’d like to see Vlahovic in the Premier League, it sounds as though this one is unlikely to happen.
Vlahovic is said to be happy at Juventus, and after spending such a long time in Italy, we can’t blame him for not wanting to move.
Vlahovic is settled at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and while he may be keen to play in England at some point, at the age of just 23, he has plenty of time to make that move should he wish to in the future.
