ATALANTA CONFIDENT OF GETTING DEAL DONE FOR £7M ARSENAL PLAYERATALANTA CONFIDENT OF GETTING DEAL DONE FOR £7M ARSENAL PLAYER
Atlanta are confident of agreeing a loan deal with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Nuno Tavares, according to The Times.
The Times have reported that Atalanta want to sign Arsenal left-back Tavares in the summer transfer window.
The Italian club want to secure the services of the 22-year-old on loan with an option to make the deal for the Portuguese youngster permanent next summer.
In our view, Arsenal are likely to let Nuno Tavares leave on loan for Atalanta in the summer transfer window.
Kieran Tierney is the first-choice left-back at Arsenal at the moment.
The Gunners have signed Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.

The Ukraine international can play as a left-back and in midfield.
So, when Tierney is injured or unavailable, then Zinchenko could cover for him at left-back.
That would leave Tavares struggling for playing time next season.
So, in our opinion, a move to Atalanta would make sense, and Arsenal should let the £7 million defender (The Times) join the Serie A club on loan.
Tavares made 13 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal last season.
The 22-year-old scored one goal and gave one assist in those games.
