Barcelona is willing to sign Arsenal talented wonderkid by next summer.

Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Arsenal’s Charlie Patino ahead of a possible swoop for the youngster next summer.

The 19-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, however Arsenal have the option for a two-year extension for the dual English/Spanish national.

The Gunners are yet to trigger that option, meaning that the club could lose the talent for free in the summer.

  1. Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that the Catalan giants are keeping tabs on the Hale End prodigy.

Mikel Arteta gave the youngster his Gunners debut against Sunderland in the EFL Cup last December, with Patino scoring in a 5-1 win.

The midfielder has made 15 appearances on loan at Blackpool in the Championship this season, scoring two and assisting two goals.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The Gunners were previously linked with the Ukraine international in the summer transfer window, and while personal terms were believed to have been agreed, the transfer never materialised due to a disagreement over the fee.

Mudryk has begun the 2022-23 campaign in fine form, scoring five goals – including two in the Champions League – and registering seven assists in 10 appearances across all competitions.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are still interested in signing the 21-year-old, and they are believed be leading the race for his signature.

The Gunners could face competition from Roma, who reportedly had a £25m offer rejected, with Shakhtar holding out for a bid in the region on £40m.
