‘BETTER THAN GABRIEL JESUS’: Jorginho seriously impressed by £93,000-a-week striker Arsenal reportedly want
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with Victor Osimhen, and Jorginho’s comments on the Napoli striker, as quoted in Football Italia, will be hugely encouraging to the Emirates Stadium faithful.
Italian news outlet TMW reported in December 2022 that Arsenal are among the clubs who want to sign Osimhen from Napoli in the summer transfer window.
The report claimed that Newcastle United and Bayern Munich are also keen on the 24-year-old Nigeria international striker.
Jorginho, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal in the January transfer window, is a former Napoli midfielder.
And the Italy international has been hugely impressed by the former Lille striker.

Jorginho said: “I knew Osimhen. I had played against him in Champions League and he had given a hard time to our defenders.
“Giuntoli called me before signing him and I told him to sign him straight away, he is very promising and is doing really well.”

The £93,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker has progressed a lot at Napoli and is in great form at the moment.
The 24-year-old has scored 18 goals and given three assists in 18 Serie A starts and has scored one goal in two UEFA Champions League starts for Napoli so far this season.
Last season, Osimhen scored 14 goals in Serie A, while in 2020-21, the striker scored 10 goals in the Italian top fight.
