“BID MADE”: Bid has gone in for £88m Brazilian midfielder Arsenal want to sign
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are interested in signing Danilo from Palmeiras in the January transfer window, according to Goal.
The report has claimed that Arsenal, AS Monaco and Atletico Madrid all have been monitoring the Brazilian midfielder for some time and are keen on signing him now.
Palmeiras are willing to sell the 21-year-old, who has a release clause of €100 million (£88 million) in his contract.
Goal have claimed that one of Arsenal, AS Monaco and Atletico Madrid have made an official bid to Palmeiras.
The name of the club is being kept under wraps.
The report has added that Arsenal had a bid of £20 million for the Brazilian turned down in the summer of 2022.
COULD ARSENAL HAVE BID FOR PALMEIRAS MIDFIELDER DANILO?
Given that Arsenal have been keen on Danilo for a while, there is a very good chance that it is the Gunners who have made the bid for the Palmeiras midfielder.
Now, of course, we are purely speculating here.
We have to make that clear.
But, we would not be surprised if it did come out in reports in the coming days that it is Arsenal who have made the offer for the 21-year-old Brazilian midfield.
We know that Arsenal have been keeping an eye on South American talents, and having had a bid for Danilo rejected in the summer of 2022, they would have easily tested the waters again.
