BREAKING: Agent now in London for talks as Arsenal look to highjack Newcastle target – Bid made already – the player can’t say no to Arsenal

Arsenal and Newcastle United want laliga star Ivan Fresneda and his agent is now expecting offers for the right back after travelling to London over the weekend.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who report that agent Luis Bardaji travelled over to London to gauge interest in Fresneda.

It’s stated that agent Bardaji is now expecting an offer for Fresneda this week as a Real Valladolid exit draws ever closer.

The report claims that Newcastle’s chief scout Steve Nickson went to watch Fresneda in action against Real Madrid last month.

With that in mind, Newcastle staff are now really keen to move in and sign Fresneda ahead of Arsenal.

Real Valladolid seemingly realise that their prized teenager is going to leave very soon, but his destination is not yet known.

IT LOOKS LIKE ARSENAL V NEWCASTLE UNITED FOR IVAN FRESNEDA

The strongest links for Fresneda at the moment are Arsenal and Newcastle.

We have already talked about Newcastle but those links have been going on for weeks now.

Newcastle seemingly want to bring in a young right back to develop behind the proven quality of Kieran Trippier.

18-year-old Fresneda fits the bill perfectly and the Magpies appear to be ramping up their interest in the teenager.

Newcastle have been leading the race for a while now, with Spanish football expert Fernando Kallas telling Sky Sports News earlier this month (04/01, 12:23pm) Fresneda seemed Newcastle-bound.

Arsenal are lurking though and having missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, they may be in the mood to hijack a deal of their own.

The Telegraph reported on Sunday that Arsenal have communicated their interest in Fresneda in recent days as they hope to pip Newcastle to a deal.

Arsenal would prefer a summer deal but could move for Fresneda now if Cedric Soares leaves for Fulham this month.

Maybe Arsenal need to be open to signing Fresneda now but loaning him straight back to Valladolid, ensuring that he players first-team football until the summer.

Agent Bardaji will be inundated with offers this week and he will have to think very carefully about which club offers the best development plan for Fresneda, who has been hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Valladolid boss Pacheta.
