BREAKING – Agreement reached for Incredible Wonderkid with 3 goals, 2 assists in Six starts to join Arsenal on a 5-year contract with an option of an extra year, Medicals NOT a problem [Welcome to Emirate]
Arsenal have had a quiet transfer window this time around but could yet make a late play to sign Galatasaray defender, Sacha Boey.
The impressive young full-back has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time now. A move has never materialised but Boey has remained in good form over in Turkey.
Indeed, he is believed to be on his way to Bayern Munich, with the German club pushing for a deal.
However, all is not wrapped up just yet and according to Turkish journalist Kaya Temel, Arsenal remain in the hunt to sign Boey as well.
Arsenal remain keen on signing Sacha Boey
According to Temel, who posted the update on X, Bayern are indeed trying to sign Boey but there is nothing sorted just yet.
And in the same update, Temel named Arsenal as the other club who would be keen on taking Boey.
As of now, the move to Bayern is stalling as Galatasaray want around £25.5m to sell Boey. The player is believed to want the move but the Turkish side know they can get top money for their man.
Lauded by Arsenal cult-hero Bacary Sagna as an ‘amazing‘ full-back, Boey would offer Mikel Arteta a different option from wide.
However, while the Gunners might be keen, it does seem like Boey is on his way to Bayern and on this occasions, the Londoners might just have moved too late.
Gunners will be looking on
This one does seem like it’s heading in the direction of Bayern Munich but it still doesn’t mean Arsenal can just sit by and ignore things.
Deals can often break down and with a fee not yet agreed here, there’s a chance Boey could well need another option. We’ve seen Bayern already pull out of the deal for Kieran Trippier, so that might be the case here.
Either way, even if Boey does sign for Bayern, Arsenal will be looking on with interest. Should he succeed, then it might go down as a missed opportunity.
