BREAKING: Man United dismissed Bruno Fernandes as Club’s captain, awarded £60m Star the arm band- He’s the perfect Man for the job
A former Premier League manager has advised Erik ten Hag to remove Bruno Fernandes from his role as captain of Manchester United.
The Portuguese playmaker has been United’s first-choice skipper since Ten Hag chose him to replace England centre back Harry Maguire in July last year.
Fernandes led United on Sunday in a dismal 3-0 home defeat by Liverpool at Old Trafford.
West Ham, Charlton, Southampton, Newcastle.
Reacting to that game on talkSPORT, former Reading, West Ham, Charlton, Southampton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and West Brom manager Alan Pardew claimed that Fernandes was an ineffective captain against Liverpool.
Pardew suggested that Fernandes was not the right type of player to captain a team because of his role as a ‘technical’ creator.
