BREAKING….. Manchester United could strike swap deal for Bruno Fernandes’ £55m former teammate – Personal terms already agreed

Manchester United could be offered an extraordinary swap deal to get Jadon Sancho out of the club, according to reports.

As the January transfer window approaches, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are in a terrible position in the Premier League which could mean the Red Devils make moves in the winter market.

Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen has been linked with a surprise move to United as the Dutch forward has recently signed up with a familiar agency, SEG.

Ten Hag, and Rasmus Hojlund, among others, are part of that same agency which means a move for Malen could be in the offing.

United and Barcelona deal touted
Well, one player may well be leaving the club which could open a few doors for the Red Devils and that man is the exiled forward Jadon Sancho.

According to a report from SPORT, United are open to a swap deal involving Sancho and former Leeds United winger Raphinha with the Brazilian struggling since his move to the club.

The report goes on to say that the decision-makers at Barcelona will discuss United’s proposal as the Brazilian has either had injury issues or struggled for consistent form since moving to the Spanish giants.

Barcelona spent £55 million to sign the Brazilian in 2022. He is a former teammate of Bruno Fernandes at Sporting, with the pair remaining close.

In an interview with The Athletic , Fernandes said: “The chemistry between me and him was really good. I didn’t play with him for a long time at Sporting, but I felt he was a team-mate who would give everything for me.”

United were in the race before he left Leeds, according to The Athletic but Raphinha chose La Liga as his next destination.

Interestingly, the Spanish report goes on to claim that Sancho hasn’t been paid for November. United have not commented on the winger’s salary arrangements during his first team omission.

Raphinha at United
The right-winger position has been a huge struggle for the Red Devils with another Brazilian in Antony struggling to nail down a spot, despite a promising couple of performances for United.

Amad Diallo is back on the training pitch after being out of action for around five months but the Ivorian may well be unavailable for a while.

During his time at Leeds, the winger scored 11 goals and provided 3 assists in his final season at Elland Road. He could well be a brilliant option for the Red Devils.
