BREAKING NEWS: After watching His performance for his national team yesterday I have came to realize that He’s the main man for this Arsenal team,if He gets injured then we should forget about the league title already”, Thierry Henry named the ONE Arsenal player that Arteta should protect at all cost this season in other to lift the Title
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber delivered a solid performance during the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw against Poland in a World Cup qualifier on Friday.
The 24-year-old started alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the defence for the Dutch, and he had a good outing, barring a solitary moment.
Timber could not intercept Robert Lewandowski’s pass to Jakub Kaminski in the lead-up to Poland’s goal, where Virgil van Dijk was caught out for the lack of pace.
Towards the end, Timber moved into his more familiar right-back position. The Gunners ace had a good overall display despite the stalemate in Warsaw.
The Dutchman had 93 touches in the game, while completing 93% of his passes (70/75). He won seven duels, two tackles and made six clearances.
The Netherlands have basically qualified for the World Cup after the 1-1 draw, given they are top of their qualifying group with a superior goal difference (+13) over Poland with one game to play.
Timber played the full 90 minutes for Ronald Koeman’s side, and hopefully, he will be completely rested for the final qualifier against Lithuania on Monday.
The £34 million signing has had a heavy workload at Arsenal since the start of the campaign, with manager Mikel Arteta relying on him over Ben White.

Timber has been almost ever-present in the Premier League, and has also got the nod over White in the right-back role over the last few Champions League games.
Arteta will obviously need to handle Timber more cautiously with the hectic festive schedule after the international break. White should get more playing time.
Arsenal entertain north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their next league game on November 23. They are unbeaten in the last six meetings against Spurs, with five wins.
