BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal next Five premier league fixtures compared to Liverpool and Man city after disappointing Sunderland draw – As Mikel Arteta men faces tough opposition side that could decide their title fate early
Arsenal were denied a comeback victory against Sunderland on Saturday evening as Brian Brobbey equalised late on at the Stadium of Light. Former academy star Dan Ballard opened the scoring with goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard following before Brobbey’s last-gasp leveller.
Bukayo Saka equalised nine minutes into the second half when Rice won possession high up with Eberechi Eze finding Mikel Merino who then picked out Bukayo Saka to fire in at the near post. Leandro Trossard then thumped in a wonderful strike from distance with just over 15 minutes to play.
However, second-half substitute Brobbey flicked home late on after Ballard’s header from a ball into the box. With Manchester City and Liverpool facing off, it is perhaps not the worst week to drop points. Here, football.london has taken a closer look at the upcoming fixtures for Arsenal and their two main title rivals.
Arsenal’s next five Premier League fixtures
Arsenal vs Tottenham – November 23
Chelsea vs Arsenal – November 30
Arsenal vs Brentford – December 3
Aston Villa vs Arsenal – December 6
Arsenal vs Wolves – December 13
More challenging away fixtures are on the horizon for Arsenal, but their first clash after the international break comes at home to north London rivals Tottenham. Nine points separate the two teams with the Gunners as huge favourites.
Another London derby arrives the following weekend as Arsenal make the trip to Stamford Bridge, looking to avoid what happened to title rivals Liverpool when they rocked up to west London to play Chelsea.
In the first mid-week league encounter of the season, Brentford are the visitors to Emirates Stadium before Mikel Arteta’s side are back on their travels against Aston Villa. It will then be a battle of the top and bottom of the Premier League as Arsenal face Wolves.
