Breaking News: Gunners complete summer transfer , Arteta tags it a “masterclass” with Arsenal swoop for £265k per week “monster”
Arsenal pulled off transfer "masterclass" with Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal enjoyed a rather busy summer transfer window as numerous players moved in and out of the north London club.
In terms of the players that joined the Gunners the likes of Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko all made moves to the Emirates to play under Mikel Arteta.
One other player that Arsenal splashed out a significant amount of money to sign that, we feel, has been the best bit of business from the north London club and a real masterclass from Arteta is Gabriel Jesus.
Signed from Manchester City in a deal worth £45m, the Brazilian has quickly become a pivotal figure for the Gunners by starting all of their six Premier League games.
In those appearances, the 25-year-old, who has previously been described as a “monster”, by journalist Robert Rojas, has found the net three times and delivered three assists for his new side, highlighting the clear attacking talent he has.
To further show how much of an attacking nuisance he has been for opposition defences and goalkeepers, the Brazil international has attempted more dribbles than any other Arsenal player and is currently tied with Gabriel Martinelli for the number of shots at goal he’s had.
In fact, only three other strikers in the entire division have had more shots at goal so far in this campaign than Arsenal’s summer recruit, who is now the club’s highest earner with a weekly wage of £265k-per-week.
Taking this into account, it’s safe to say that the striker has hit the ground running at Arsenal and is a big reason why Arteta’s side are at the top of the league table.
Moving forward, if the former City star can keep up this sort of attacking power throughout the campaign, he would surely give his new side a great chance of having a successful season and perhaps even help them get their hands on some silverware.
