BREAKING NEWS: One thing about Arteta that me personally I don’t like is that He usually play players out of their position,If He do same to Eze I’m sure He’s going to Flop,I have been in this for a very long time now and I know what it takes”, Arsene wenger reveals the only position that suits Eberechi Eze style of play

Eberechi Eze might come in to start for Arsenal immediately in their high-profile clash with Liverpool this weekend.

During the Gunners’ dominant win against Leeds United last Saturday, Eberechi Eze watched on from the stands at the Emirates Stadium.

Eze seemed impressed with Viktor Gyokeres’ goals – he’ll be one of many Arsenal players he’ll be excited to play alongside.

And owing to injuries to Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, Eze might get that chance immediately at Anfield.

But heading into Sunday’s match, it’s still not quite clear where Mikel Arteta will choose to deploy Eze, a midfielder who can excel in more than one position.

Ian Wright gives his thoughts on Eberechi Eze’s position at Arsenal
That being said, Ian Wright has now given his thoughts on where Eze will play whilst speaking on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast.

After discussing the England international’s arrival in north London, Jamie Carragher asked Wright where he thought Eze would play for Arsenal.

On his part, Eze seems happy to play anywhere for Arsenal, just as long as he’s on the pitch.

But Carragher ultimately seemed to agree with Wright’s idea that it will be on the left.

Carragher initially asked: “Where does he play, Wrighty, in the team? If he eventually nails down a position, because the position when I look at the way Arsenal play right now, it almost feels like Declan Rice plays in that role the way he played at Crystal Palace.”

Wright replied: “I think he’d probably be on that left side.”

Carragher: “Left wing?”

Wright: “Left side coming in, coming inside, I don’t know, Myles Lewis-Skelly on the outside, you know what I mean?

“He weren’t bothered, he said, listen, I just want to play and stamp myself and then go from there.”

Eberechi Eze tipped to start against Liverpool at Anfield
So far in his career, Eze has predominantly played as a number 10 for Palace, but it’s clear that the former Queens Park Rangers maverick can thrive on the left too.

In fact, Eze has often featured as a winger for England whilst playing alongside the likes of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.

And irrespective of position, Wright confessed that he wants Eze to start against Liverpool on Sunday – he wants to see Arteta’s side go to Anfield to try and win.

Wright added: “I’d probably like him to start him, because we have to go there to win. You know what I mean?

“What we’re doing this season, especially now, we’ve got the injury with Saka and Odegaard, that happens.

“But we’ve got, the squad is deep enough now, we’ve got to still go there, given Madueke, hopefully Eze comes in, Gyokeres, and we’ve got to go there to win.”
