BREAKING: Victor Gyokeres signed £82m transfer agreement, Real Madrid demand Fernandez -Rodrygo £50m swap deal, Bayern Munich man to join Man United next week

Another day another story on the future of Bryan Mbeumo linked with Man Utd, who have submitted an official offer close to the asking fee demanded by Brentford.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils have forwarded a proposal worth £55million (£45million initial fee and £10million in add-ons) to lure the Cameroonian from the Bees.

As per today’s edition of The Mirror, Brentford are demanding a fee worth £60million to sell their prized asset in the summer transfer window.

So, the gap is close and as per Grame Bailey, after the first offer, Man Utd are confident that they will be able to seal the deal to sign Mbeumo.

The journalist told TBR Football:

“The two clubs are talking – and I am told there is full confidence of the deal going through. The player’s camp is already in broad agreement over terms.”

Change in strategy
When Erik ten Hag was in charge, Manchester United lured a number of players who had already played under the management of the Dutch coach.

Unfortunately, majority of his signings failed to shine in the Premier League. This time around, United have clearly decided to change the strategy.

Instead of bringing in manager’s favorites, they are focusing on landing stars who have already proven their worth in the country.

Last season, Cunha, who is arriving from Wolves, directly contributed in 21 goals in the Premier League, on the other hand, Mbeumo directly contributed in 28 goals.

Last month, the African set up a goal in Brentford’s win over Manchester United. Will he be a hit at Old Trafford? Only time will tell
