BREAKING: Victor Gyokeres signed £82m transfer agreement, Real Madrid demand Lewis skelly-Rodrygo £50m swap deal, Bayern Munich man to join Arsenal next week

Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane is reportedly ready to join Arsenal by rejecting Tottenham Hotspur, as per German outlet Bild.

The German’s future continues to be a subject of speculation in this summer window as his existing deal at Allianz Arena is set to expire at the end of this month.

The Gunners want a new wide forward and have been linked with a host of names, with Nico Williams, Anthony Gordon, and Rafael Leao being among them. But, they are also looking to hire Sane by taking advantage of his current situation.

Bild report that Tottenham are also plotting a swoop to sign the former Manchester City star as a free agent. However, the player has no intention of moving to the Lilywhites; instead, his preferred destination in the Premier League is Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta previously worked with Sane at the Etihad Stadium during his time as Pep Guardiola’s assistant, so he knows everything about him. Now, it appears the Spanish boss is willing to reunite with his former colleague at the Emirates Stadium.

Sane to Arsenal
The 29-year-old, valued at around £32m by Transfermarkt, is a versatile forward as he can play on either flank. Arsenal are currently well-resourced on the right flank, having already got Bukayo Saka as the first-choice option and Ethan Nwaneri as his backup.

However, Arteta is reportedly planning to upgrade the left flank as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard couldn’t manage to showcase their best in the recently concluded campaign. So, perhaps, Arsenal are planning to hire Sane as a left-sided forward.

The experienced forward has enjoyed a successful career thus far. He won multiple league titles during his time at Man City, while he has also won numerous trophies at the Allianz Arena over the years. However, he hasn’t been able to taste the glory of the Champions League yet.

Signing a player of his qualities would be the right decision for Arsenal to bridge the gap with Liverpool. Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his service in this transfer window to reinforce the attacking department.
