Club preparing to sell £75million star to Manchester United
Chelsea and Manchester United remain locked in negotiations over the transfer of England playmaker, Mason Mount.
As per reports in the British media today (news image provided below), the Stamford Bridge club are preparing to sell their prized asset to Man United.
As per The Daily Star, the Blues have to trim the squad after splashing a mammoth amount of cash to reinforce the team in the last two transfer windows.
It is reported that Chelsea are “preparing to offload” Mount to Man United, Koulibaly could head to Inter Milan, on the other hand, Arsenal are closing in to lure Kai Havertz.
According to The Daily Mail, the Red Devils will make an improved offer of £50million for Mount, who is valued at £75million by the London club.
The Three Lions attacker is prepared to stay for a year if Chelsea do not budge on the asking price. In that case, they will lose him for absolutely nothing next year.
Mount’s stance could help Manchester United in securing the deal this summer. The versatile star directly contributed in 29 goals in the 2021-22 campaign under Thomas Tuchel
However, the 24-year-old spent a lot of time on the injury table in the recently concluded season and with his contract due to expire in 12 months, he is surely not worth £75million.
