CONFIRMED ‘He is going to Arsenal’: £60,000-a-week player will join the Gunners – journalist
TalkSPORT journalist Ian Abrahams has claimed that Declan Rice will join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal from David Moyes’s West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
Abrahams has said on talkSPORT (7:16am, May 12, 2023) that he has been told that Rice will move to Arsenal at the end of the season.
The Daily Star reported last weekend that Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all are keen on signing the England international.
The report claimed that the 24-year-old earns a basic £60,000 per week at West Ham now, and he is likely to get £240,000 per week as salary if he makes the move to Arsenal, who believe that they are leading the race for him.
Declan Rice reportedly leaving West Ham United for Arsenal
Abrahams said: “He is going to Arsenal, that’s what I have been told. He is going to Arsenal.”
Exciting
In our view, Declan Rice would be a very good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old is one of the best midfielders around, and we believe that he would make the Gunners a better and stronger team in the middle of the park.
Rice may not score as many goals as some other midfielders do, but he is a shield for the back-line and imposes himself in the middle of the park.
Arsenal will play in the UEFA Champions League next season and will now aim to challenge for the Premier League title in the coming years.
Rice would make the Gunners more competitive than they are right now.
