DEAL CONFIRMED: Arsenal finally completes the deal to sign £99million top-class striker who has more experience than Gyokeres – Welcome to Emirate
Arsenal and Chelsea are in negotiations over a deal for Noni Madueke to head to the Emirates this summer.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who report that Andrea Berta has his sights on Madueke as he seeks an alternative for Bukayo Saka.
TMW explain that the deal taking Kepa Arrizabalaga to Arsenal this summer may not be the only one that the two clubs do.
Arsenal are looking for a winger who ease the burden on Saka and potentially cover other roles in their forward line as well. New director of football Andrea Berta is on the case and his eyes have been turned to Chelsea and Noni Madueke in particular.
In fact, according to TMW’s information, Arsenal and Chelsea are already working to find a solution that would suit both parties.
Madueke joined Chelsea in a €35m deal in January 2023 but faces increased competition for his place next season with the arrival of Estevao from Palmeiras. With Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto in the squad as well, there is a belief that Chelsea could ‘sacrifice’ him.
How much Arsenal are willing to spend isn’t mentioned but Berta is leading the charge as he seeks an alternative to Saka
