‘Deal in Final stages’ – Fabrizio Romano provides update on Man united SECOND transfer deal after successful negotiations

Manchester United are in search of a player to strengthen their strike-force this month and the name of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is in the lime light.

A few days ago, Christian Falk revealed the Cameroonian international is willing to hold talks to agree a move to Old Trafford.

More recently, Football Insider reported that Bayern Munich have offered the 34-year-old center forward to Man Utd.

So, Man Utd are in the clear to seal the signing of Choupo-Moting this month but at the moment, discussions are not at an advanced stage.

The Red Devils were also offered Timo Werner but the German international is heading to Tottenham Hotspur from RB Leipzig.

Choupo-Moting has made over 100 appearances for the Bavarians, however, he has never been a regular starter and this season, he has mainly warmed the bench behind Harry Kane.

Nevertheless, his stats are still prolific. In all competitions, the veteran striker has started 42 games for Bayern and directly contributed in 48 goals (38 goals and 10 assists).

Hence, the £116,000-a-week star’s quality and experience could prove to be beneficial for Man Utd.

Man Utd’s attack has not been good enough this season. Rashford, Fernandes and Garnacho have scored just three goals each in the Premier League.

Rasmus Hojlund has only found the net once and Brazilian winger, Antony, has not even come close to scoring.

Do you think Man Utd should seal the signing of Choupo-Moting to improve the department?
