Deal progressing to final stage as £50m Bundesliga Star set for Arsenal move, Manager already confirmed that the player will leave the club this January

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, and the Nigerian is apparently an Arsenal fan.

The January transfer window is now open, and Arsenal could do with some help. The Gunners have won just one of their last five Premier League games, and their title hopes are slowly slipping away. Many feel a new striker could be a game-changer, and Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to sign Boniface

Victor Boniface is a big Arsenal fan
Arsenal have been struggling to score goals this season, and many feel a new striker will solve that issue.

Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have just not been prolific enough, while the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard aren’t firing the same way they did last season.

The Gunners could really do with a striker who will guarantee them 20 or 25 goals a season, and the latest name to be linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s side is Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nigerian is having an amazing season in Germany. He has scored 16 goals and provided eight assists, and he is one of the biggest reasons why Xabi Alonso‘s side are on top of the Bundesliga table.

Football London have now revealed Arsenal may have an edge in the race to sign Boniface – not just because they’re a great side and have a fantastic manager, but because he is actually an Arsenal fan.

That could make the difference if Arsenal make a bid to sign him in the coming weeks.

Boniface to Arsenal is more likely in the summer
Not many clubs in the Bundesliga are capable of going toe-to-toe with Bayern Munich, but Bayer Leverkusen are doing just that.

Xabi Alonso’s side are unbeaten in the league so far and are currently four points clear of the defending German champions in the Bundesliga table.

Leverkusen have a great chance of winning the title this season, so we expect them to hold onto all of their star players this month – including and especially Victor Boniface.

So, if Arsenal really want to sign the Nigerian, a move in the summer is more likely.
