‘Disrespect’: Mason Mount says what happened to £30m Arsenal player on FIFA is an absolute ‘disgrace’

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been talking about his FIFA ratings with England teammate Mason Mount.

On England’s official YouTube channel, the pair did a video where they looked back at the progression of their cards as their career has gone on.

The normal trend is for steady improvement as it goes along, and Ramsdale could expect a boost when he moved from Sheffield United to the Gunners last summer.

But Ramsdale went from 75 to 74, and he and Mount had plenty to say about it, understandably

Mount and Ramsdale talk FIFA

Mount said: “This is not acceptable! This is not acceptable!

“You’re a silver, you’re playing for Arsenal as a silver.

“They actually have decreased, how have you been decreased? Wow. That is disrespect!

“That right there is a disgrace, honestly. This boy has worked hard the whole season. He’s got better and better and better. Yeah he might have been relegated, but he’s got better as a person and a player. I’m done.”

With the launch of FIFA 23 around the corner, Ramsdale asked Mount what the goalkeeper’s rating should be on that game, to which the Chelsea man said: “85!”

FIFA ratings get a lot of scrutiny and it seems as if they are wide of the mark just as often they are accurate.

The drop in ratings was harsh but it reflects the feeling around the world of football when Ramsdale joined Arsenal on the back of two straight relegations.

But as he says in the video, he was in the England squad for the European Championship and was clearly improving as a player.

Ramsdale also said that 85 would be too high for next season but surely on FIFA 23, his ability will be reflected more accurately.
