DONE DEAL: Arsenal Highjacked Liverpool top transfer target as £80m penned 5yrs deal with the Gunners – Player set to be on stand today to watch Arsenal game as Mikel Arteta second signing
Arsenal are interested in signing Bayern Munich superstar Jamal Musiala, and there are background talks ongoing about a deal, according to insider Bayern Space.
The Gunners have established themselves as one of the best teams in Europe this season as they sit top of the Premier League and Champions League tables, while they are also still in both domestic cup competitions, with Mikel Arteta having built one of the strongest squads in the game.
But the club are always looking for ways to upgrade and improve, and Germany international Musiala has emerged as a very real target for upcoming transfer windows.
Arsenal Talks Ongoing to Sign Musiala
Jamal Musiala
Musiala, who is considered to be one of the best players in the world, recently signed a contract extension at the Allianz Arena, extending his stay in Munich until 2030, and committing his long-term future to the club.
That deal is understood to contain a release clause that drops in value with every passing transfer window, and in the summer it will stand at £127.5m, having fallen from the initial £150m. It’s expected to drop even further in the coming years, with the clause expected to be worth £115m in the summer of 2027, £105m in 2028 and £85m in 2029.
Because of his standing in the game, there is an acceptance within the Bundesliga club that an exit could become more realistic from this summer onwards, with Arsenal among the clubs showing an interest in the German, and club insider Bayern Space has revealed that there are background talks ongoing between the north London club, the player’s camp and Bayern to ensure they’re fully informed of the situation at all times.
Should an exit away from Bayern Munich accelerate faster than initially expected, Arsenal are expected to be front and centre in the race to sign him, in what would likely be a club-record transfer.
Musiala Would Be Arsenal’s Best Player

There aren’t many players who are in the category for being among the best in the world, but there is no doubting that Musiala is one of them. At 22 years old, it’s fair to say that he still has his best years ahead of him too.
Considering he grew up in England, it would be a travesty if he didn’t grace the Premier League at some point in his career, and if Arsenal were able to be the team to prize him away from Bayern, then he would be the best player in their incredible squad.
It would be a statement signing, reminiscent of when they signed Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, and if there’s any hope of the deal being done then they should do all they can to get it over the line.
