As per reports in the Spanish media, Man Utd have agreed a deal to sign Miguel Gutierrez, who currently plays for Girona.
The 22-year-old was part of the Real Madrid squad that won the La Liga and the Champions League two years ago.
However, he rose to fame with Girona in the past two years, especially in the last campaign under the management of Michel.
The youngster’s current contract with the La Liga side will expire in 2027 and he earns a low salary of around £280,000 a year.
Real Madrid have an option to buy the player back this summer for a fee of just 8 million euros (Cadena Ser).
The Express have cited reports in Spain and claimed that the European champions will activate the clause to bring Gutierrez back.
However, they have already agreed a deal worth £34m to sell the left back to Man Utd, who are looking to replace Shaw.
