Frank Lampard has confirmed that Everton will have Abdoulaye Doucoure and Demarai Gray available for tomorrow’s clash against Manchester City.
The Toffees welcome the Premier League leaders to Goodison Park after suffering a dismal 2-0 loss at Southampton last weekend.
And the home side will be boosted by two key players.
Doucoure has been absent for the previous four games with a groin injury.
Meanwhile, Gray has missed the past two matches because of a hip problem.
But Lampard has revealed the pair have trained all week and are in contention – but hinted neither may not be ready to start.
The Everton boss said: “Doucoure and Gray and are both training with us now and will be in the squad.“Whether they start is an issue for me.
Doucoure has been out for five weeks now.“With Demarai, we have to make sure, coming into a game with the type of physical output needed to get the performance and potential result, it’s a big ask.“I’ll have to decide whether they’re ready to start but they’ve been training with us for the past 2-3 days.
It’s good to have them back in the squad.”Meanwhile, Ben Godfrey is making good progress from a hamstring injury that’s ruled him out of the past three games but is still unavailaAs is Fabian Delph, who hasn’t played for more than two months because of a thigh issue.
Yerry Mina (quad) and Tom Davies (hamstring) are longer-term injuries.
On Godfrey, Lampard said: “Ben Godfrey won’t be back.
He’s progressing well but it was always going to be a five-week injury which gives him another couple of weeks.”
