“Dream signing” – Journalist raves over “outstanding” star Arsenal want to sign alongside Mudryk
Arsenal target would be a “dream signing” for a number of clubs, believes journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Gunners are just one side who are said to be keen on the Brighton midfielder after his World Cup heroics.

According to AS, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are both interested in signing Mac Allister.
The 24-year-old, however, is unlikely to come cheap, with his stock incredibly high right now following the role he played in Argentina’s World Cup triumph.
One report from 90min claims that Brighton are looking for around £50m, which does not come as a shock. The Seagulls sold Marc Cucurella to Chelsea for big money last summer and also got a huge fee when they let Ben White join Arsenal in 2021.
As well as Mac Allister, the Gunners are also showing strong interest in Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk and have already made a couple of bids for him.
What has Pete O’Rourke said about Alexis Mac Allister and Arsenal?
O’Rourke has described Mac Allister as “outstanding” and thinks Arsenal are one of several clubs who would love to have the Argentine.
On the Gunners’ interest, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “He’d be a dream signing for a number of clubs, Mac Allister, following his performances at the World Cup for Argentina. He was outstanding for them in Qatar.
“Brighton, I’m sure, will be aware of the growing interest in him, but they’re pretty hopeful that he will remain at the club at least until the summer, so I don’t expect any move for him in January.”
Would Alexis Mac Allister be a good signing for Arsenal?
Mac Allister would probably be a great addition to any squad in the Premier League. The Argentina international, of course, proved himself at the World Cup.
On WhoScored, he was his country’s third-highest rated player, ranking below the phenomenal Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria.
During the tournament in Qatar, Mac Allister also averaged 1.3 key passes per game. Again, only Messi and Di Maria topped him in that category.
The World Cup is not the only competition Mac Allister has shone in, though. His performances in the Premier League for Brighton have also been impressive.
In 15 appearances, the former Argentinos Juniors man has scored five goals. He is averaging 2.9 tackles per game as well – no Brighton player is making more (also via WhoScored).
All in all, Mac Allister has looked like quite a well-rounded midfielder this term. If Mikel Arteta can bring him to the Emirates, he could be a terrific signing for Arsenal.
