Arsenal could compete with Manchester United for Juventus star Federico Chiesa in the summer transfer window. The winger is said to be very ambitious about a move to the Premier League, as English football would enrich his career. Both Arsenal and Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attacking options and Chiesa would be a valuable addition
The situation at Manchester United, with Antony underperforming and Jadon Sancho facing limited opportunities, has intensified the hunt for Chiesa. Likewise, Arsenal, who rely heavily on Bukaya Sak and Gabriel Martinelli on the wings, see the Italian international as a player who can add quality and provide additional attacking options.
Arsenal have been linked with Ivan Toney and Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony believes that if the Gunners sign the England striker they are “guaranteed” to win the Premier League. MacAnthony values Toney at between £70m and £85m and sees him as a player who could secure Arsenal’s title in the next two years.
Jakub Kiwior could leave Arsenal in the summer. The 23-year-old center-back, who joined the Spezia club for £17.5 million last January, has reportedly failed to adapt to life at the Emirates. AC Milan are interested in Kiwior and have held talks with him about a loan with an option to buy.
Meanwhile, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is heading for a contract extension with a €130 million buyout clause. Arsenal have contacted Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, to show interest in the successful Nigerian striker.
Although Osimhen would be an attractive option for Arsenal, a move in the January transfer window seems unlikely as other top European clubs, including Chelsea, are also interested in him. Arsenal currently have several attacking options, but Osimhen’s scoring ability could make him a valuable asset in the future.
