Edu Gaspar’s son spotted out for dinner with ‘unbelievable’ Arsenal target last night after recent speculations that player have agreed personal terms to join Arsenal in the summer

Edu Gaspar’s son was spotted out for dinner with reported Arsenal target and Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz last night.

Douglas Luiz has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and remains a long-standing target for Arsenal.

The Gunners failed with a deadline-day swoop for the Brazilian back in the summer of 2022.

Luiz has emerged as an option for Arsenal once again this summer off the back of an impressive campaign at Villa so far.

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Mikel Arteta’s men view Luiz as ‘one of the most interesting midfielders’ in the world right now.

The 25-year-old was spotted at a restaurant with Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar’s son on Tuesday evening.

Luiz spotted out for dinner with Edu’s son
In a photo posted on Rezino’s Instagram story, Luiz was spotted enjoying a meal with friends.

The group included Edu’s son, Luigi Gaspar, who currently plays for Watford.

Tottenham defender Emerson Royal was also spotted in the picture and Luigi Gaspar reposted the photo on his story.

Of course, Edu’s son is more than likely to be close friends with Luiz, as well as the likes of Emerson Royal.

Arsenal fans will probably be wary of reading into this too much, especially as a current Spurs player also attended the meal, alongside a large group of people.

Nevertheless, Luiz remains a key target for Arteta and he would be a fantastic addition to this current Arsenal side.

Despite Kai Havertz’s recent upturn in form, Luiz seems like the ideal candidate to take up that left-sided midfield role.

Luring the ‘unbelievable’ midfielder away from Villa Park would certainly be difficult after Luiz signed a new long-term contract back in October 2022.

He’s also emerged as key player under Unai Emery and Villa are expected to demand a huge fee after reportedly placing a £110 million price tag on his head in January.
