Edu is edging towards one of his biggest Arsenal masterstrokes yet – TBR View
Arsenal are reportedly edging towards contract renewals for three of their top talents, according to 90Min.
Gunners trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba all have contracts until 2024.
But 90Min claims Arsenal are pushing hard to tie the three down to new long-term deals.
Indeed, the Gunners are apparently hopeful that all three will have put pen to paper by January.
If this report is true, Edu could well be closing in on one of biggest masterstrokes at Arsenal.
Saka, Martinelli and Saliba are already world-class players, and all three are just 21 years old.
They have all played a big part in Arsenal’s early-season successes, as they sit top of the Premier League table.
It’s crucial that the Gunners get them to pen contract extensions, and crucially, the club seems to be on the right track.
And with new deals, this will increase their price tags further, ensuring Arsenal’s key assets are even more valuable.
Saka revealed at the end of August that he is confident of extending his stay in north London.
Sources have apparently told 90Min that talks are progressing well between the two parties.
This is despite reported interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.
As for Saliba, negotiations to prolong his stay at Arsenal were apparently already under way last month.
Meanwhile, Martinelli’s current deal contains an option to extend.
Nonetheless, Arsenal are keen to reward the Brazilian with improved terms for the progress he has shown.
And Mikel Arteta is reportedly ‘anxious’ for all three deals to be concluded as quickly as possible.
