English Premier League table 2023/24: Updated EPL standings as Man United seal big win in Champions League race
Manchester City beat Everton to make it 10 wins in a row in all competitions but Liverpool ensured Pep Guardiola’s side had a short-lived return to the Premier League summit.
Erling Haaland scored twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 victory at home to the Toffees and move the champions to the top of the standings.
Liverpool conceded a first-half equaliser against struggling Burnley but goals from Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz made sure of a 3-1 victory at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s men have played a game more than City, while Arsenal do not play until they travel to West Ham for a London derby on Sunday.
Brennan Johnson scored deep into stoppage time as Tottenham beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1, and Manchester United defeated Aston Villa by the same scoreline thanks to a late Scott McTominay header in what could be another key result in the race for the UEFA Champions League places.
Arsenal destroyed West Ham at London Stadium to leave Hammers fans fuming and keep the Gunners very much in the title race.
The Sporting News will update the table below and break down each of the key races throughout the 2023/24 season.
