Erik Ten Hag doesn’t have discipline that why we all call Him a ‘BABY COACH’,If I were to be Him this particular player will sit on the bench for straight four matches’: Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou reveals the only Man united player who played Rubbish despite their narrow win against Luton
When Manchester United stormed into a 2-0 lead against Luton Town after just seven minutes, their fans would have been breathing a sigh of relief and hoping a much easier night was in store than first expected.
But that’s when Luton Town started to fight back, including a quick response from Carlton Morris, before the ’sloppiness’ of Manchester United’s game began to frustrate Peter Schmeichel.
The legendary goalkeeper wasn’t happy with how Casemiro, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford were performing during the game, as he told Premier League Productions (17/02/24 at 5:30 pm)
With Casemiro and Harry Maguire on a booking each, they were hooked at half-time by their manager Erik ten Hag, with Scott McTominay and Jonny Evans their replacements.
That’s something Peter Schmeichel saw at half-time, as he added that Harry Maguire was ‘asking for a yellow card’ before getting into the referee’s book.
Many will argue that Casemiro was lucky to remain on the field because he did commit a foul when he was already on a yellow, which many thought should have been punished with a second yellow.
Another player who left Peter Schmeichel frustrated was Marcus Rashford because he thinks there are times when he offers ’nothing’.

“They have gone very, very sloppy,” said Schmeichel. “Casemiro has got a yellow card and he should have maybe got the second. Ten Hag has got a very, very big decision to make – I don’t think he will play Casemiro in the second half. I don’t think he can.
“That’s the thing with sloppiness, Harry Maguire has been asking for a yellow card and he was successful in that one. He has been pushing up quite a lot into the other half, pushing players and grappling from behind. Things you don’t do. It’s little things that come down to the lack of concentration.
“You have seen Rashford doing stuff, then stopping and doing nothing.”
Manchester United stutter over the line
All that matters are the three points for Manchester United, just like at Villa Park last week, they were probably fortunate to walk away with maximum points.
But at this stage of the season, it’s all about just getting the job done rather than looking pretty.
What helps Manchester United’s cause massively is the form of Rasmus Hotlund because he has now scored in six consecutive Premier League games.
That player who many were once questioning is now being lauded and applauded because he is looking like the real deal in Man United colours.
