Everything set! Club Chief confirmed! £70M star player have agreed to join Arsenal in the summer after accepting the latest bid tabled by Arsenal

Arsenal could now sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo this summer with the club open to the midfielder being sold.

That’s according to 90min, who provide an update on the Ecuadorian’s future.

Arsenal are keen to add at least one central midfielder to their squad this summer.

Declan Rice looks like their most likely option, although West Ham have slapped a huge asking price on the England international.

Arsenal have offered to triple his wages if he does join, but negotiations with his club may prove tricky.

The report from 90min suggests that Arsenal see Moises Caicedo as an option this summer alongside Rice.

Although the Hammers want £120m for Rice, Arsenal will hope they can negotiate that fee down, but if they can’t, Caicedo would be a cheaper alternative.

Arsenal were doing all they could to sign the 21-year-old in January, however, Brighton stood firm.

Instead, the Gunners brought in Jorginho who has been brilliant since his arrival.

Now, there’s a chance Mikel Arteta could finally get their man before next season.

Arsenal target Caicedo could be sold this summer

The report from 90min states that, ‘Brighton & Hove Albion will consider allowing Moises Caicedo to leave the club this summer if their valuation of the player is met.

‘90min has been told that if the bidding for the in-demand Caicedo surpasses a certain number – believed to be £80m – then Brighton are ready to have conversations about his future.’

Arsenal are now faced with a dilemma this summer between signing Rice or Caicedo.

Both players have proved they’re more than capable of going toe-to-toe with the best midfielders in the league.

Caicedo is incredibly comfortable on the ball in pressure situations.

He frequently splits Brighton’s centre-backs to receive the ball from the goalkeeper with attackers bearing down on him.

More often than not he finds a teammate and creates an angle that immediately starts a Brighton attack.

The Gunners could go all out and try and sign both midfielders, but that would limit their recruitment in other areas.

Rice is the more established midfielder, and has proved himself on the international stage with England.

Caicedo offers arguably more potential and is already playing at a high level.
