Manchester United are expected to submit an offer to sign Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors, as per reports in Argentina.
Recently, we covered a story via Planeta Boca Juniors claiming that the Red Devils will need to pay a fee of £21.4million to sign the 18-year-old central defender.
In another report from South America, El Crack Deportivo journalist, Jonathan Riniti, has claimed that the Argentine side are expecting an offer from the Old Trafford outfit.
Riniti stated:
“In Boca, they expect an offer from Manchester United for Anselmino. Just as Liverpool are looking at Equi Fernandez, they are looking at the centre-back as the future Lisandro Martinez.”
Martinez was brilliant for Man Utd under the management of Erik ten Hag in the last campaign. The 26-year-old helped the Red Devils earn a place in the Champions League.
However, he suffered a metatarsal fracture and was absent in the final two months. This season, the former Ajax man has mainly been on the treatment table and in turn, United have suffered in the Premier League.
The good thing is that Martinez has returned but defense still needs to be reinforced this month because key players have been out of form.
In your view, should Man Utd offer £21.4million to sign Aaron Anselmino before the closure of the January transfer window?
