FA Cup draw: Find out who Arsenal will play in the third round – Do you think Arsenal will escape from this danger zone??
The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been made.
Former Everton and England midfielder Trevor Steven and Arsenal defender Jen Beattie made the draw on Sunday lunchtime live on ITV.
The draw pitted Arsenal at the Emirates against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The Gunners kick off their quest to lift the world’s oldest domestic knock-out trophy for the 15th time in its long and illustrious history when Mikel Arteta’s side face the Reds at Emirates.
Arsenal last faced the Anfield club in the competition back in February 2014 when we ran out 2-1 victors, which was the 17th time we’ve locked horns in the FA Cup. During that time we’ve won on eight occasions, including our final success in 1971.
Third-round ties will take place across the weekend of Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7.
The date and kick-off time of this fixture will be announced in due course.
