‘FINALLY DONE DEAL’: Arsenal have now agreed five-year contract worth £120k-a-week with ‘incredible’ player – medical to follow up soon

Arsenal long awaited transfer target has agreed a five-year deal worth around £120,000-a-week at Arsenal as the Gunners continue their push to try and agree a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for the forward, according to a report from The Sun.

Mikel Arteta’s men remain locked in talks with the Ukrainian side over a deal for Mudryk. But it would appear that the end may be in sight.

Reports from Sport Analytic claimed that Arteta has already spoken to the 21-year-old about his role at the Emirates. Meanwhile, The Sun suggested earlier this week that Arsenal want him signed by early next week, when Shakhtar travel to Turkey for a training camp.

They have also cleared another significant hurdle when it comes to personal terms. In fact, The Sun has shared what kind of deal Mudryk has agreed with the Premier League leaders.

According to the report, the forward is ready to pen a five-year contract. Meanwhile, he will earn £120,000-a-week in North London – should he make the move.

Spotrac shows that only three players in the Arsenal squad currently earn more: Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus. Meanwhile, both Ben White and Granit Xhaka are apparently also on £120,000-a-week.

That highlights just how highly Arsenal rate Mudryk. He has shone in the Champions League this season. However, he is a signing for the future.

He is yet to prove himself domestically in one of Europe’s top leagues. And he is still so young. So it says a lot that Arsenal are ready to immediately make him one of their most highly-paid players.

Of course, Arsenal have probably discussed terms with players who ended up not joining in the past. So there is still a chance that Mudryk will not make the move.

But such a lucrative five-year deal shows that Arsenal really rate the ‘incredible‘ youngster. And thus, it would be a big surprise if the Gunners let the opportunity slip through their grasp.
