Manchester United

FIRST BID MADE: Man United finally join Chelsea in transfer Pursuit for £80m highly talented Midfielder – Player have already agreed to join after having one on one discussion with Ten Hag

Manchester United are in the market for an experienced midfielder, who can partner Kobbie Mainoo, in the center of the park next season.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd have moved in with a bid to hire the services of German international, Leon Goretzka.

According to Spanish source, Nacional, the Bayern Munich midfielder has two years left on his contract, he will not renew and is expected to leave the club this summer.

It is stated that the 29-year-old wants to exit the Bavarian side and even the arrival of new manager, Vincent Kompany, has not altered his mind.

In such a scenario, the Catalan media outlet claim Man Utd have offered a fee worth £33.8m to sign Goretzka in the summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag has personally requested the Old Trafford club to sign the former Schalke player as he would be an excellent reinforcement.

Goretzka is a versatile midfielder, who can effectively play in the No.6 No.8 and No.10 positions.

Last season, the Kaiser started 25 games in the Bundesliga for Bayern and directly contributed in 15 goals (6 goals and 9 assists).

He has won every major title in Germany and it is time for him to move abroad to try a new challenge in his career.

Goretzka has made 57 appearances for the Die Mannschaft but was not included in the squad for the European championships, so, he would be well rested before the start of the new campaign.

The midfielder has the quality and the experience to be a hit in the Premier League, but we do not think he’d be a long term solution considering he will turn 30 in February next year?

In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to sign Leon Goretzka?
