‘Full agreement reached’: After the long talk, Arsenal have now finally reached an agreement with the £20M player – player now on his way to London to complete Arsenal move

Arsenal could reportedly complete a deal to sign Leandro Trossard later today, with Brighton & Hove Albion in talks to sell the winger to the north London club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are moving at pace to get a deal completed to sign Trossard, with Arsenal expected to pay as much as £20m for the 28-year-old forward according to the Daily Mail as Mikel Arteta looks to make his first transfer of the January window.

Having missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea earlier in the window, Arsenal have been using the time to identify alternatives in the market, with Arteta and Edu Gaspar seemingly falling on Trossard as their winger to sign this January.

With six months remaining on his contract, a deal to sign Trossard could be a fairly routine one for the Gunners, with some supporters even optimistic that the winger could be an Arsenal player before their clash against Manchetser United on Sunday.

Indeed, Trossard would be a cost-effective option for Arsenal compared to Mudryk. However, given the forward’s age and recent behavioural issues with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, Arteta could be making a risk on moving for the Belgian international.

ARSENAL SIGNING TROSSARD COULD BE ARTETA’S RISKIEST DEAL SINCE WILLIAN

Arsenal were always going to struggle with an alternative to Mudryk since Chelsea won the race for the Ukrainian international. However, a real case could be made that Trossard will be the Gunners’ riskiest transfer since the arrival of Willian in 2020.

After all, Trossard will potentially sign with high expectations from Arsenal supporters to help the north London side win the Premier League title. And should the attacker fail to impress, there’s every chance that the forward could be on the move from Arteta’s squad come next January.
