Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Kieran Tierney will ‘never’ be sold by Arsenal and the left-back is a ‘future club captain’, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Premier League midfielder added that Tierney is ‘everything that Arsenal are about’ – the latest injury news on the player is that he is set to miss the club’s Premier League opener against Crystal Palace.
Tierney’s talents have been there for all to see, but the issue facing him is that he has picked up far too many injuries since swapping Celtic colours for Arsenal’s.
That’s why the Gunners brought versatile player, Oleksandr Zinchenko, to north London from Premier League champions, Manchester City, this summer because he will fill the current void left by the 25-year-old Scotsman.
Nonetheless, former Tottenham player, O’Hara, shared his thoughts on Tierney, brushed off his injury problems and stated that he is a ‘top player’.

The Premier League season kicks off on Friday night and Arsenal will be the main event again, this time it’s Crystal Palace and their free-flowing front three that will be looking to provide the drama.
Will Arsenal’s newest cast in Zinchenko start that blockbuster fixture? Well, with Tierney still out of action, Nuno Tavares loaned out to Marseille, then it’s highly likely that he will.
If Zinchenko hits the ground running, and performs well as a left-back, then will Tierney return to reclaim his starting place just like that?
Someone like Tavares was a youngster, so it’s easier to dethrone him if he was playing well, but Zinchenko’s reputation is far bigger than Tierney’s because of what he achieved at Manchester City.
Either way, whatever the answer is, all of this will be music to the ears of Mikel Arteta because he has been crying out for some much-needed depth in quality.
