Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka to start, Predicted Arsenal line-up(4-2-3-1) vs Brighton

Arsenal made a triumphant return to the Premier League on Boxing Day but now face a stern challenge when they visit Brighton and Hove Albion, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.

Despite going one nil down in the first half, the Gunners came roaring back in the second and were able to retain their grip on the top spot. More of that will be needed when they take on Brighton who are in tremendous form themselves and pose a real threat.

Aaron Ramsdale will continue in goal and would probably have more to do this time around. As for the full backs, there could be one change with Alex Zinchenko coming in for Kieran Tierney to give the midfield a little more control. Ben White will take his usual place on the right side.

William Saliba and Gabriel would continue as the centre backs, and they need to be on their toes. The hosts have a lot of forwards and midfielders that keep making runs into the box and that is sure to cause a lot of problems.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka who will start in the centre of midfield are going to have to be a little more pragmatic in their approach. But we can expect to see the Swiss captain in more advanced areas despite this.

Further ahead, it is the dynamic and exciting trio of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli. These three have been brilliant this season and they affect the game from different parts of the pitch. The Norwegian with his ability to string passes together is key to the visitors getting a good result.

In attack, Eddie Nketiah will get another chance to fill the boots of Gabriel Jesus with the Englishman impressing on Monday. The goal against West Ham United would have given the forward a lot of confidence.

Arsenal have shown this season that they can withstand intense spells of pressure. They are going to be experiencing that for a full 90 minutes on Saturday. Should they come through this game with the three points, it will further add credibility of their title challenge.

Arsenal Predicted Lineup Against Brighton (4-2-3-1):

Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Alex Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah
