Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard to start, Predicted Arsenal line-up(4-2-3-1) vs Wolves
Arsenal have just one game to go before the World Cup break and they travel to Wolves looking to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.
The Gunners had a disappointing game on Wednesday as they lost to Brighton and Hove Albion in the EFL Cup. This could prove to be a blessing going forward as it reduces the fixture congestion post the World Cup.
Aaron Ramsdale will be back in goal and would be keen on celebrating his call up to the England squad with a clean sheet. Ben White is another player who is headed to Qatar and would want to put in a good performance. Alex Zinchenko will take his place on the left flank.
In the centre of defence, the pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel will start. Though the latter did not make the Brazil squad, he has been one of our best players. This combination will have quite a task of keeping the hosts at bay.
Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka start as the central midfielders and their ability to maintain the tempo of the game will be crucial. The Swiss international with his ability to get forward can be a real problem for the home defence.
Further forward, the north Londoners will have the dynamic presence of Bukayo Saka on the right and Gabriel Martinelli on the left. In between the two will be the calming presence of Martin Odegaard who has the ability to control any game.
Gabriel Jesus will be back leading the attack and his ability to bring others into the game is so valuable. The striker would like to get on the scoresheet after failing to do so over the past few games. Despite this, the Brazilian has proven to be so effective in helping others find the back of the net.
Arsenal have a great chance to go into this break at the top of the league. This is not something that many would have predicted at the start of the season. It is credit to the manager and the players that they have put themselves in this position.
Arsenal Predicted Lineup Against Wolves (4-2-3-1):
Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Alex Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus
