Mikel Arteta has confirmed his starting XI for Arsenal’s Premier League clash against West Ham United this evening. The Gunners welcome the Hammers to the Emirates Stadium, with a win enough to send the hosts top of the table.

The big news is that Leandro Trossard starts the game, replacing the suspended Kai Havertz who picked up his fifth league booking of the season during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against title rivals Liverpool. Left-winger Gabriel Martinelli has been kept his place following a difficult run of form, having failed to reach the heights that he was able to last term.

Alongside Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka make up the rest of the forward line. Meanwhile, Declan Rice will operate as the Gunners’ number six, facing the team that he joined Arsenal from in the summer, signing for a club-record £105million.

David Raya, meanwhile, keeps his place in between the sticks for Arsenal. The defence is unchanged from Saturday’s trip to Anfield as Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko start at right-back and left-back respectively.

Meanwhile, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are in the centre of Arteta’s defence, hoping to keep a clean sheet.
