Only a point is required of Arsenal tonight as they look to book their place in the next round of the Champions League. However, the Gunners must get the better of a Lens team which shocked them in northern France for earlier in the group stage.
That defeat remains the only black mark on what has been a largely positive return to the Champions League for Mikel Arteta’s side, with six points taken off a Sevilla team widely expected to be their main rivals in Group B. If Arsenal draw here, they are guaranteed of a spot in the last-16 and even a defeat may confirm it too. Victory will secure them first place and a seeding for next month’s draw.
Kai Havertz is hoping to earn a spot in the Arsenal team after scoring the winner on the weekend but Fabio Vieira is out after groin surgery.
