He doesn’t suit to my style of play,One game he is good another he is bad,He was the reason we lost to Newcastle’: Arteta tells 23yr old Star to find new Club before January or He will be sent out on loan
Late last week, La Tribune Olympienne reported that Olympique de Marseille appear to be interested in Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira.
The report claims that with Vieira lacking minutes with the Gunners, Marseille are reportedly looking at the possibility of loaning the midfielder this winter.
But Fabrizio Romano has weighed in to add that it’s too early to say on that one.
Arsenal still haven’t made any decisions on players to potentially leave the club in January, and Marseille currently have no director.
Latest Arsenal injury updates and news
Mehdi Benatia is set to be confirmed as Marseille’s new director this week, but there certainly won’t be any negotiations before that.
Vieira had a mixed spell between the last couple of international breaks.
The 23-year-old won and scored a penalty against Sheffield United and provided an assist away to West Ham United to initially make a case for more minutes with Arsenal.
But the former Portugal u21 international then shot himself in the foot by picking up a red card against Burnley in the final game before the November break.
Thanks to that red card, Vieira will now be suspended for Arsenal’s matches against Brentford, Wolves, and Luton Town, though he will be able to play against Lens in the Champions League if called upon.
In the wake of his red card, Vieira dropped down to the Arsenal u21s for an EFL Trophy game last week, scoring a penalty but seeing another penalty saved.
Vieira will now serve his suspension, before getting a few more chances to impress in the final games ahead of the January window.
