He has agreed to join’: agent confirmed His £60m client could be on His way to old Trafford this week after latest report released today
Manchester United are in the market to secure the signing of a ready-made striker and the name of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is one of the names linked with the Red Devils (The Athletic).
The latest reports indicate that the Cameroonian international would be willing to discuss a move to Man Utd.
According to Head of Football for Bild/SportBild, Christian Falk, the former Paris Saint-Germain forward would be ready to talk to agree a move to Man Utd but so far, the Old Trafford club have not moved in with an offer.
The renowned journalist wrote on X:
“There is still no offer from @ManUtd for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting @FCBayern. Club and Player would be ready to Talk. The contract of the striker is running out at the end of the Season. A move for Choupo-Moting to Saudi Arabia in Summer is also a serious option”
The 34-year-old center forward has won league titles in Germany and France and was a key player in Bayern’s Bundesliga triumph last season.
He had an injury-hit campaign and made only 14 starts, still, he managed to find the net 10 times. Moreover, he also scored 4 goals in 5 Champions League starts.
This season, Choupo-Moting has mainly warmed the bench and thus far, he has only started three league games under Thomas Tuchel.
As a result, Cameroon opted to drop the £123,000 a week man from the squad for the African Cup of Nations. So, Man Utd can immediately utilize his services if they move to secure him this month.
